@kop3 Unfortunately doesn't work for me on macOS + Android… just won't transfer files. I can try again and give the specific error message if anyone is curious.

@frozenpandaman I've tried it, and surprisingly it works Android->MacOS but fails macOS->Android (Android 11, macOS BigSur it must not be relevant)

@kop3 Neither direction works for me.

macOS -> Android:

  1. NitroShare menu icon > Send Files...

Android -> macOS:

  1. Click pink 'send' button (or Menu > Send Items)
  2. Select a file
  3. Nothing ever shows up under "Select a device from the list below to receive the transfer" (weird that it shows this in the first place – as I'm sending a file, not receiving one)

Android 11, macOS 12.1 Monterey

It seems that the flaws are casual, may be not platform dependent. It works after closing and reopening the app in both systems, and then the app detects the destination target system.

Since the project seems long abandoned, I highly recommend KDE Connect. I just discovered that it supports almost all systems, and has extra capabilities, far beyond file transfer. Windows nicely supported, and iOS too (>=14.x), through Testflight.

This project is dead.

a long time ago I also ran into these problems ... I have tried all the various versions of this program but none of them work ... not to mention the problems between android / windows. This project has not been maintained for 3 years and will remain so. SAMBA is the best choice and we will find yourself marvelous (this is what I currently use). At least they are native things, so you avoid installing third party programs.

Why install programs when windows/linux(android - with app) already have native systems that allow file transfer???
