Small brains in the "Surface reconstruction" image in the html report

Open mharms opened this issue 2 months ago • 3 comments

The brain slices in the "Surface reconstruction" snapshot in the html report are very small, with lots of wasted black background. Can the sizes of the brain slices be scaled up considerably to make better use of the space?

Do you know if this is a change from previous processing, a long running issue, or subject-specific?

Don't know if this is a change or a long running issue (don't have any basis for comparison). This is version 25.1.1. It is consistently true across subjects however (at least within this dataset). Visual example attached. (Perhaps "very small" is too strong, but definitely not using the space well).

We could use nilearn.image.crop_img right before creating the figure to get rid of the empty space. We recently started doing that in QSIPrep.
