Don't have the HD project, weird bug that won't save my game

I don't have RE 4 HD installed, just tweaks. Looks like QuickSFV only checks the HD Project files, so I haven't run it.

Doing a professional run, finally caved and used the trainer to set Ashely's health to maximum (got tired of her poor AI constantly dying and ruining everything), give myself back the yellow herb i'd used on her, and slightly lowered enemy health (since everything felt like a damn bullet sponge).

For some reason, my game will no longer save. Didn't have this issue until a few hours ago. Possible it's been around longer and I didn't notice - but the save I'm using has been fine up until this point, even after using trainer.

I made sure the file wasn't read-only, but even after disabling that and saving again it still wouldn't save. Tried using the save option from the trainer menu and it still wouldn't work.

Edit: The game said "save successful" after each save I did, but file explorer showed the file wasn't modified. Reloaded after saving again and yeah, it didn't save the game.

Not sure if it'll help, but here's the save file just in case: Save.zip

I assume it applies to the other saves I have, but I haven't checked so I don't know for sure.

Edit 2: Verified the game's files and that didn't fix it. Will try a full reinstall.

Hello, i'm having the exacly same issue, but using HD project btw, after deleting the game and making a fresh install the game are saving correctly, i'll try to install hd project with the old version of re4_tweaks.

I have a problem, after applying the 4 GB patch the game stops saving. It pretends to be saved, but the save is not created. Looks like the 4GB patch breaks something.
