Soft White Smart Bulb Stops Functioning When Indoor Smart Plug is Unplugged

Issue Summary

I have two devices on my Cync account:

  • Indoor Smart Plug
    • firmware: 1.0.110
  • Soft White Smart Bulb (A19)
    • firmware: 3.8.

Yesterday, after unplugging the indoor smart plug, my soft white smart bulb stopped functioning following an unrelated HA restart. After extensive troubleshooting, including resetting the integration and re-adding my account, the bulb only resumed functioning once I plugged the smart plug back in and reloaded the integration.

It seems that the smart plug's status might be affecting the operation of the smart bulb.
