Decentralized, private goods exchange
Why
- all existing private goods exchange marketplaces like Silk Road, Hydra and others have many issues present, mainly UX
- it would great to have a mobile first experience to find a specific good, then pick it, be fairly certain that the seller is legit and safely get it (one way is for seller to drop it in some location to be picked up or mail as letter/package)
How
- it has to be a website as app store policies won't allow such marketplace
- the website is PWA that lets users create an account as either buyer or seller
- as seller you authorize and create account with Solana crypto address (everything is utilizing Dark Protocol or similar for private transactions on SOL)
- then as seller wants to sell some product for first time, they have to send proof of product availability in a way that doesn't reveal the identity of seller in any way
- one way is a photo with metadata stripped that shows the product + the current time
- users then also login to the marketplace with Solana address connected
- the big problem that marketplace solves is trust sellers won't lie, marketplace should do all it can to prove this trust and establish a connection
- each marketplace is localized and products can be sorted by price and 'rating' (most likely doesn't make sense, seller is either legit or not)
- perhaps Signal mobile app can be used to facilitate the messaging, marketplace simply establishes the connection between buyers and trusted sellers, then when it's established extra conversation can be done via Signal
- each order is URL essentially with SOL + escrow functionality builtin
