ES6580: Quality not supported/open specific stream

Open mthnry opened this issue 10 years ago • 10 comments

When opening a stream from the browser I receive an error that low/medium/high quality is not supported by my device.

Also I cannot open specific channels via the "open channel" option. I am able to type in the name, after that the app does not respond to any command, several buttons on the remote only add different letters in the search box. Arrow keys are also not working to select the "open channel" button. Thanks! Really looking forward to watch twitch on my TV!

Hi,

As I answered over 10 times in closed issues, app has nothing to do with format support, it's all about TV so the only thing I can advice here is switching quality or updating TV firmware.

On the second problem we'll see if it works for you after major changes coming in the next update finally arrive.

Sorry, just had a quick look at the closed issues, must've missed it.

The point is I cannot select a quality setting anywhere. I also already updated the TVs firmware.

I'll wait for the next update then, keep going! Thanks!

Just to be clear: the message tells me that low a AND medium AND high quality isn't supported, not sure what quality I should select at all as this covers all kinds.

Cheers.

Have you tried following these instructions? Open panel - left or (when panel is closed) center buttons Switch quality options - (when panel is open) channel up & down buttons, or 1 & 4 buttons Confirm quality change - (when panel is open) center button Hide panel - right or back buttons. (if you press back when panel is hidden player will close)

The message means High/Medium/Low qualities are fixed and are same on all the streams. Source on the other hand is volatile and it can be supported for you on some streams even if High/Medium/Low are not supported.

I'll check on that later. Didn't know there's a panel, too. :) Must've missed the documentation as well. '^^

I'm not able to open a panel. The only buttons working are A, B, C and D. Any other does nothing or quits the app.

You need to press them in the player screen..

Ahhh, thanks. Didn't try pressing buttons while the error is shown. The stream won't play with any setting either.

I can confirm this and my TV firmware is up to date, too.

At July/August most streams worked with Source-Quality on ES-Series TV's. Meanwhile is only every ~5th channel/stream working :-(

Is it maybe possible to make high, medium or low quality available on ES-Series?

I have same issue; I received an error that low/medium/high quality is not supported by my device. but the thing is I installed app yesterday and worked fine; opened the app, chose X channel I got this error after that tried all quality options but didn't work, Somehow (randomly) that same X channel worked fine for a while and I couldn't make it work again. Not sure if it is about my device, just wanted to tell my experience.
