I have recreated the official Portuguese layouts from the Android and iOS versions from MessagEase, but they differ in some places. On the Exideas keyboard exchange site I haven't seen a Portuguese one. @racuna what do you think, would these two be good enough, or is a third one needed? If so, please, advise how that layout would look like. Please, try to keep changes compared to either of these to a minimum, to mess the least with the muscle memory of long time users.

The second one looks cool. Because there is a c-cecilla (Ç o ç), which the original MessageAse didn't have (IIRC).

There is no ñ in Portuguese, but having it there could be practical for people who write in more than one language (instead of switching between keyboards).

Thanks for your input! I will submit these two, then.

Neither of those layouts have an easily accessible á, which is a very common diacritic in portuguese. Makes it somewhat impractical to use.

None of these layouts have the ^ accent. (that symbol on top of the I is the up arrow cursor). As portuguese doesn't use ñ, it could be replaced by ^, like the French layout

@aseixas Do you know where it's located in the ME layout? D-north could work. For what it's worth, you can type it with the deadkeys support (A then N-northeast), but I understand that it's not the most convenient.
