Oblivion Construction Set - Custom Creature Animation Error Messages 10-4-2009

I use: MaxPlugin v.3.4.2.4632 (see labeled pic) Nifskope v1.0.20 (see labeled pic) Python v2.5 (see labeled pic) CS version 1.2.404 (see labeled pic)

I have been working on a custom creature, practically done save for testing in the game and some further minor tweaks. I enter the new creature in the CS and load up the skeleton, choose the creature meshes in the models tab, and then I click on the "Preview" box to the bottom left of the render preview screen to see my creature so I can check out its animations. Its animations play fine after I get past the error messages.

I get a slew of error messages for every single animation I made. For the movement animations, like handtohandforward, handtohandleft, etc - I also get another message about having exported with "Animate In Place" from Max. I had my Thornite creature's anims set up the same as the older Centipede creature of mine, which ironically, loads up into the CS fine with no errors, anims playing ok too. The centipede was made before Nifskope 1.0.20, and it was also exported with older "Niftools 3ds Max Plugins 0.2.17.7". It has the proper version of 20.0.0.5 for the Nif, too. It was most likely tweaked with an older version of Nifskope as well, but it shows the right info still in the Nifskope v.1.0.20.

But the Thornite was made after the centipede, with a few anims done around 2-13-2009 date, and the rest done a few days ago (the handtohandstagger.kf animation was done a few days ago). But all of the Thornite anims, regardless of when made, say the same thing in the NiHeader of Nifskope version 1.0.20 :

  1. 20.0.0.4 (wrong version, should be 20.0.0.5)
  2. No Export Info (unlike the Centipede anims which say which Max plugin version they were exported with)

I am putting this error report in Nifskope Bug forum, therefore. I have sent you some files for the creatures via PM, along with labeled screenshots, so you can check them out. I have included an esp with my thornite creature and centipede entered in the CS creature section, saved under Shivering Isles version of Oblivion. But keep in mind I did not send all animations for either, nor do I recommend testing any of them ingame. I have not tested the Thornite in the game yet, and the centipede is only entered enough in the CS so as to click "Preview" next to that render screen to see if any errors pop up - to compare it against the Thornite. The meshes and textures folders, and the esp, should be copied to the Data folder of Oblivion - the folder paths are correct as they are for the esp.

Thank you for your help! Koniption
