Currently, the maximum supported version is 0.3.4. Hope that it will support 0.3.6 soon.

is it really necessary to restrict newer versions? This delays the support/updates. In addition, updates in microG are usually not basic updates, but enhancements. Therefore I think this should not lead to problems.

The supported version check is for the sake of avoiding privilegied permission consistency check failures causing a bootloop. The privilegied permission allowlist is part of the module itself and not the microG version but has to be updated every few versions when microG uses new privilegied permissions, which is currently not automated. However, upgrading microG by just installing the new APK does not trigger these checks. This is why the README has an entire paragraph about how it's fine to just install the update without any adverse effects. New users can install with the last supported version and then update. I'm aware this is inconvenient, but it's not a blocker that prevents people from using newer versions with bugfixes.

To be more precise, it is https://github.com/nift4/microg_installer_revived?tab=readme-ov-file#can-i-update-to-new-versions-without-waiting-for-module-updates
