We really need this. Without this I'm forced to use lage or some other package manager on top of workspaces just to build properly.

How are you configuring the directive? What browser are you using? I'm using it in our app (https://github.com/exceptionless/Exceptionless.UI/tree/master/src/components/intercom) without issue. You could try comparing yours to mine.

If you want to submit a pr for it, I'd be more than happy to accept it. I think long term the approach would probably just use the HttpClient /...
