Add Configurable Delay for "Trigger when unavailable" Feature

Open h3x89 opened this issue 6 months ago • 0 comments

Proposal

It would be very useful to add an option to configure a delay before triggering the "Trigger when unavailable" feature in Alarmo. Currently, the sensor triggers immediately when it becomes unavailable, which can cause issues if the unavailability is momentary, such as during a brief network disruption or integration restart. The requested feature would allow users to set a customizable delay (e.g., in seconds or minutes) after which the "unavailable" trigger is activated if the sensor remains unavailable for that duration.

Additional Info

The new functionality could be implemented as an additional setting in the Alarmo options, where users can specify the delay time. For example:

  • Trigger when unavailable (Checkbox)
  • Delay before triggering (Input box for time in seconds or minutes)

This feature would prevent false alarms or unnecessary triggers due to temporary and brief sensor unavailability, improving the reliability of the system.

Version Information

  • Alarmo Version: 1.10.4
  • Home Assistant Version: 2024.8.1
