MP spins but does not finish creating a playlist

Expected Behavior

When a long a playing (no playlist exists), clicking the hamburger+ sign it would ask for a name of a playlist (or new) and add the playing song to that list.

Actual Behavior

it just sits and squares showing that it is running, but after an hour nothing happens. I can see an empty "Playlist" file on google drive, but that's it

Steps to Reproduce the Problem

  1. Open Google Drive Music folder, select a song,
  2. Right click and play with Music Player
  3. click play, while playing try to add to a new playlist

Specifications

  • Browser: Google Chrome Version 78.0.3904.108 (Official Build) (64-bit)
  • OS: Linux Ubuntu 18.04
