How to keep the current tab active on page reload

Is it possible to add a script that will keep the current tab active on page reload? This is a major one.

Any progress on this? If not sure what I mean... if you go to this page and click on second tab "it loves keyboard" but hit refresh, the tab defaulted to first tab "It's robust and accessible".

It works for me: when I click on the tab, the fragment is added, and if you refresh with the fragment in the URL, the script detects it and opens the tab. (?)
