Gmail closes connection on UTF8 command
Reverting 0918b78a82a789d63cebe44b7662f0a8dc603000 fixes the issue.

Got the same issue with Gmail, had to find a previous version in the Alpine Linux archive.
It would be nice to have an option to disable the use of the UTF8 command in the POP conversation.
Easy to add, you can basically copy no-apop.
