'.' as separator in Aliases seems to make usage of '.' in Dictionary keys break the decoding.

Mistakenly pressed enter while editing the title which submitted the issue without me having filled out the contents. Sorry about that.

I've been using the BaseModel + HRCoder setup, and I've been recently getting errors. The trouble seems to be that I have been adding filenames as the keys to a dictionary, and since the file names include dots, it seems to be interfering with the alias handling that has the said file name keys as part of the keypath.

Do you think that is the case, or is it something that I must be doing wrong?
