Mac OSX 10.13 High Sierra support

Open theslyprofessor opened this issue 2 years ago • 2 comments

Many powerful legacy cheesegrater Macs run OSX 10.13 High Sierra because hardware limitations prevent upgrading beyond this. Unfortunately, there seems to be a minimum limitation of OSX 10.14 Mojave for the command line version of Elementary. The same limitation existed on Ossia Score and the developer was able to provide a build compatible with OSX 10.13. If possible, such a build would be incredibly helpful, as I'd like to use elementary for my doctoral research in computer music at UCSD in my studies with my advisor Miller Puckette.

Thanks @theslyprofessor, I totally understand.

Wow, right on! I'll make sure that you can :)

Elementary is quickly approaching the 1.0 (officially stable) release and as part of that I'm planning one more small change to the command line tool which should drastically improve the ease of installation/use as well as the facilitate broader platform support.

So, in short, I'm actively working on it, and hope to have an update for you asap
