ftp connection failed
Also fails for me using FTP. Settings saved, sync failed.
/home/loren/.config/tabby/tabby-sync/27-9-2024.log is zero bytes. /home/loren/.config/tabby/blob_storage/ea766458-101f-4faf-9ae0-4b65b062af95 has no content.
Nothing relevant to sync or my FTP server in /home/loren/.config/tabby/log.txt but all my other recent activity is there.
And I can't change the "interval syncing time" from 20 seconds, which is ridiculously wasteful for values that maybe change once per week...
Please report with some useful information:
- Mode (ftp or ftps)
- Transfer mode (passive, ...)
- Port?
@niceit My trial was with plain ftp. Don't remember a "Transfer mode" setting, but I entered a full username and password. FTP port 21 on a local BBB wired to my router. See screenshot:
I tried to disable the extension after I couldn't make it work, but it still interfered with normal use (don't remember how), so I uninstalled it. This might have more clues:
I have not tried this again after updating Tabby from the January 2024 version. Could that matter?
Sorry, I don't remember any more history... Just manually copied the config file, it doesn't change that often.

I just happened to notice... There is a Tabby folder in the BBB server I tried to setup:

That's about the time and date when I was testing. So maybe the Sync plugin was able to communicate, it just couldn't copy any content there.
There's an empty log file on the machine I was trying to set up: /home/loren/.config/tabby/tabby-sync/27-9-2024.log -rw-r--r-- 1 loren loren 0 Sep 27 11:49 27-9-2024.log
It looked like the plugin was continually hitting errors, but it never reported anything useful.
