Completely froze my PC, then deleted itself. Are you deploying a virus or what is going on?

After I ran nheqminer.exe -h, my taskbar froze and Windows became unusable / didn't respond anymore. I had to do a hard reset. After that I discovered that the nheqminer.exe file has disappeared (the dlls are still present through). Is this some kind of rootkit? To be sure, I reported this repository as abuse (possible malware / rootkit), but even if this is just a bug: What the hack have you done there? If I run with the parameter -h, you app has one job: Display help. Even this is completely messed up. How messy is the actual algorithm then?
