Nicehash Miner 2.0.1.8, huge memory consumption

Nicehash Miner 2.0.1.8, 8x GTX 1080 Ti (11GB). Some algos have huge memory consumption (e.g. dagger-hashimoto, neoscript). When running some algos I have virtual mem occupied over 77GB. I had to set max virtual mem to 128GB. Is this normal ? Why is this happening ? The problem is that the virtual mem is mostly on disk. I'm using laptop 2.5" 5400 rpm hdd and it is really slow to write such huge data volumes. I would like to use ssd but it probably would not survive such massive written volumes - 75GB+ few times a day, it would shortly wear-out.
