Add target link URL to the tweet/toot

Several people already asked me to add the target link URL so the tweet/toot, but:

• sometimes I share a link for which I would like people to read my context/comment before the targeted content (I might not agree with it for example)
• sharing a second link would reduce the number of available characters for title, author and hashtags (at least for Twitter)

Oh yes, I'd love this:

1. Link to your linkblog with a mention of 'Discussion: https://nho[…]'
2. Direct link

From what I gather, however its original length, a link seems to take up only 23 characters in Mastodon. I don't know for Twitter but there's something here.

Or maybe a link shortener for what's being POSSE'd if Twitter counts more characters? 🙂
