LED Controls [Feature Request]

Open blonghong opened this issue 1 year ago • 6 comments

Forgive me if this has already been requested, but I am really hoping we can get some control over the midi device's LEDs. My assumption was this would be done in the "Switch to Output Binding" mode, but that's still WIP according to another issue.

hi,which kind of MIDI hardware are u using right now? i want this feature too,but seems like different hareware's LED control uses diffenet ways. like send a midi note,Device shows a preset LED. if u have time, can u help me testing about it?thanks! i'm using my own design midi devices.

Trying out version 3 beta now..and im not sure how the Midi Output options work exactly. I'm just trying to feed colors or some type of feedback into my APC Mini mk2. Reference the below video to see how it's done (4:54 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ef1fkmwE6w) - Is something like this currently possible?

I use the akai APCmini mk2. LED Feedback works fine (version v3.0.0 bea). With the APC mini you choose Category MIDI, Action Send Messages to Devices and use the proper Device as Output. (Make sure under MIDI Devices, that the Device Output Status is "Connected") To Change an LED Color you Send Type: "Note On", Channel: encodes Light intensity and blink modes, 0-7 gets shinier, higher channels start blinking Note#: encodes the Key on the APC mini (you can get this by listening Once at the bottom of the panel) Velocity: encodes the base Color. Not all colors behave the same, you might have to tinker a little.

the encoding is the same, if you cbange your binding type to react to state changes in obs
