Blink1 not responding.

I just got this gem and tried play in irb with the above sample code. Blink1 doesn't respond. Do I need to set a port or run in sudo or something? I am on a mac and I was able to make it repond to the default GUI app

I had the same issue. But I forgot to run my ruby program with 'sudo'. That fixed it.
