NGINX Plus JWT Auto-Renewal

As a NGINX Plus customer using NGF I want to automatically renew my JWT for my NGINX One subscription for NGF So that I do not have to remember to update it manually and risk non-compliance.

Background

With the release of NGINX R33 came a new licensing model that includes the use of a JWT to allow NGINX Plus to run. While there is a grace period for this JWT before enforcement issues arise, we need to eliminate the burden of manually updating this token for NGINX Plus users.

With the release of NGINX R35 we will likely see an automatic update mechanism to make this process automated for those maintaining an NGINX One subscription. We should seek to adopt this feature within NGF as soon as possible.

Acceptance Criteria

• NGF users utilizing NGINX Plus as their data plane can set up the NGINX JWT automatic renewal for their entire installation of NGF.
