MATLAB_SAR Taser Loading issue

I am trying to open Taser using this SAR toolbox but it is not displaying correctly, there is a large black box across majority of the window. Does anyone have any suggestions to fix this?

Can you please provide more details? What image are you trying to look at? Have you tried to open a basic example image? What OS are you on? What version of Python are you running? etc.

@petersontex Tex meant to ask which version of Matlab? I assume the problem is on Taser startup without an image? Linux or Windows?

I am using Matlab 2024b on Windows 11. Yes the problem occurs before I open an image.

Thanks! Matlab has deprecated some functionality (GUIDE) that Taser was using for its graphical interface. According to Matlab documentation, that happened in Matlab 2025a, so it shouldn't be a problem in your version (2024b). I'll do some tests to see if I can recreate the problem, but the black graphical window makes me think there is a Java incompatibility - GUIDE is based on Java which is why Matlab deprecated it. There is a new version of Taser (using App Designer, not Java dependent) that is in process of being migrated to this repository - that release date is TBD.
