Package cl is deprecated in Emacs-27

It would be nice to fix this to prevent warnings on startup of packages that depend on c-eldoc.

I'd happily accept a patch - I'm pretty busy(and not coding in c)these days so won't get to this soon.

OK, I'll look at it. I'm not coding in C either these days but I'm helping someone who does. Not sure when I'll be able to provide one, but i'lll look.
