As I do not actively maintain the gnome image and I have no capacity of testing, I mark this as an enhancement.

To do anything about that, I need more input that actually contains debug information and some hints on how to fix this.

@Xianbei233 for now your bug-report does not include any useful information about how this can be reproduced. You do not even name the image you have been using. I assume that use full disk encryption when you speak about "unlock the disk". Is this right?

Can you please check, if this is the same as #21 ?

ok,my fault, sorry. i use the ubuntu-gnome-17.04-desktop-amd64_gpdpocket_2017-09-04.iso. i am sure that my problem is different with issue #21 i got disk encryption unlocked and i can see the system run to gdm.service and freeze unless i press the battery button. so i do the image reinstalled once more but the installer told me fail to install the grub and the whole install failed

I have seen this issue and it is somehow related to the BIOS/EFI. I had to remove the existing loaders installed into EFI. Afterwards I have not seen this issue again.

Unfortunately I cannot remember what I exactly did within the BIOS to reach the option and get it going again.
