Remote iprscan error

Open edgarwly opened this issue 3 years ago • 3 comments

Hi, I have been following the online tutorial to run funannotate. I tried to run iprscan remotely as I'm using mac:

funannotate remote -i fun -m interproscan -e [email protected]

but the following error popped up:

funannotate-remote.py: error: argument -m/--methods: invalid choice: 'iprscan' (choose from 'all', 'phobius', 'antismash')

I am wondering what the problem is? Thanks!

At some point I removed this option because I didn't have the time to support it. There is likely still the script available in the aux_scripts folder if you want to try manually.

Thanks! I will try that.

What do you mean by "manually"?

Interproscan's local runs seems to work very well with funannotate. It takes a few days to download and install it, though.
