Hi,
Thanks for your suggestion.
I'm not saying no, but I need some better arguing than just a wish to implement it. :) We chose Apache for a reason. Please check FAQ.
Also, I won't work on this since it's kind of a big change, but PRs are welcome, and I'll consider it. Then as an option, not the default.
@Menethoran
are there any mentionable recommendations to run a reverseproxy on the very same application-server 🤷🏻
and please do not forget haproxy and pound and ... 😉
@github-tomster
TrueNAS Scale running TrueCharts applications (traefik over nextcloud) is going to be the "easiest" path...
FlexCD is Helm's "recommended" use for both.
Lastly, would be a kubernetes cluster running helm.
FlexCD and kubernetes are about equal in their "technical complexities in setup and use"
Ive long since moved from haproxy, but, i could pull up my old setup for nextcloud handling if ypou want an example on how to set it all up. I am unfamiliar with pound. i can probably muddle something together using it and pass it your way).
@enoch85 I could probably argue a larger use case than just for fun :) but not much past that aside from having an easy lure to pull people away from the TreuCharts ecosphere. Its just such a toxic weirdly close minded approach to such an open idea... (and yeah... i get the rub that its the first recommendation i had above for ease of A to B with other stuff running on the same appliance). Honestly, even without baking it in, its not a very complex thing to implement. Im just lazy :)
