Creating links in Nextcloud Notes using md syntax does not always work.

Open anderslundx opened this issue 2 months ago • 2 comments

Typing links in md format, like [link text](https://link.url) does not work if the text is something like name.tld

Steps to reproduce

  1. Type [something.cloud](https://something.cloud/page) in a nextcloud note
  2. Type [something](https://something.cloud/page) in a nextcloud note

Expected behaviour

Both should become proper links as the closing paren of the link is typed.

Actual behaviour

Only the second link is processed - the one without the '.cloud' part of the link text.

Which editor?

Do you experience similar behavior if you edit a markdown file in Nextcloud Files (i.e. outside of just Notes)?

Which editor?

I'm using the web interface.

Yes, just tested a regular .md file in my Documents folder. Exactly the same issue.

Thanks for caring :)
