Typing in front of link makes link popup flashin in the top left corner

Describe the bug Placing the cursor right in front of a link makes the popup appear. When you type something the popup will flash in the top left corner of the window.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Type some text
2. Type a link
3. Type some more text
4. Place the cursor right before the link
5. Type some more text

Expected behavior The link popup should not be flashing and not appear in the top left corner. IMO it shouldn't even be shown when the cursor is right before a link.
