No, please don't do that unless merging of the PR is blocked by something unrelated, which in this case isn't. Especially not if the PR is a draft. If it is blocked on its own merits, then that means it is not ready for production.
For now, it's better to just port it to the settings dialog and sections and keep the existing dropdowns.
