Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. Is it possible to add the automatic update feature? We would like to deploy this application in our company, but using a GPO just for that seems a bit overkill.

Would it be possible to link the corresponding update links in the About section, as I have illustrated in the screenshot? This way, all users would immediately know where to find the latest version, and there would be no need to refer them to GitHub. An auto-update would then not be necessary; a push notification would suffice, and everyone can decide for themselves when to apply the update.
