"Guest is typing" instead of User in direct chat?
Steps to reproduce
- User A starts a direct conversation to user B
- User A starts typing
- Switch to user B
Expected behaviour
User B should see "User A" is typing.
Actual behaviour
User B sees "Guest is typing"

This issue happens randomly.
It could be that this is a fallback where a typing message was received, but the app did not know the display name of the user yet?
So it could be a race condition?
Thanks for reporting, not sure if i understand the scenario correct.
Are both users using android talk or is one using web? By "Switch to user B" you mean user B is typing while there is still the typing indicator for user A?

This is happening to me also like I'm chatting with someone then when I move to the second person who is offline but the first persons typing status showing in the offline persons chat with username as guest typing

In my case both users are using android talk.
In simple words it's like:
John starts typing to Marie, but Marie sees "Guest is Typing" instead of "John is Typing"
Thats all i see.
