Easily switching threads
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. Not really a problem, more a cumbersome method of working.
Describe the solution you'd like A icon in the chat view which pops up a small dropdown allowing you to select a thread you wish to view. Maybe this icon should be incorporated into threads view also so that you can switch between threads quickly too. The current method of click the three dots, then recent threads to navigate is cumbersome to quickly switch threads.
Describe alternatives you've considered There really isn't one on the mobile app.
I'm not convinced if this makes sense for the mobile apps. When opening a thread via the "recent threads", it's just one click to get back and see the overview of all threads.
To have a quicker access from within the normal chat, it could be implemented that e.g. the most recent 3 threads are directly shown in the conversation info screen. So it would be 2 clicks instead of 3 clicks to open a thread. Not sure if this is worth it..?
True! What if that button took you directly to a list of all threads. Two clicks instead of three. By the way, this request comes from my wife. She was confused where the button to view threads when I told her that it was in the overflow menu, she found it too cumbersome and refused to use threads (much to my annoyance). I find threads very useful in keeping context because my wife is a master at context switching and I don't pay attention enough to follow it.
Maybe there could be a floating box on the very top of the chat which points to the most recent used thread so you could quickly switch to it. I am trying to think of a solution for a person who is likely to keep switching between main chat and threads over the course of a conversation. Or maybe I am not using it right.

Which button?

I don't think a floating box will be implemented
Or maybe I am not using it right.
You're using it right but you seem to be one of the first powerusers :D
I'm open to ideas.
How is it done on iOS? Are the threads directly listed in the conversation info? @Ivansss @SystemKeeper
Which button?
I don't mean button, but the option "Recent Threads" which is in the overflow menu (three dots) should be a button near the phone icon and the search icon.

Fair enough, I don't think it would turn out well either to be honest. But I find threads to be an extremely handy feature. On the web app it is fairly quick to switch between them because it's right there on the side. But my wife does most of her communication on the phone and because phones have less real estate it kindda gets hard to implement a good view for easy thread access.
Maybe there could be a bar underneath the title bar in the chat with circular icons associated with different threads. I am just spitting ideas here to see what can stick.

The fastest I can move my family away from proprietary crap, will still not be as fast as I want it. (He says while using Github).
I'm open to ideas.

No Clue, I don't like Apple.
We can think about adding the threads icon next to the calls buttons if there is enough space left (which would depend on screen size and length of the conversation name, so it would not be guaranteed to be shown. When there is not enough space it will still be in the overflow menu list)
We currently show the recent threads in the "..." menu next to the call button:

Ok thx, we might also do this on android then.
This looks cool. Thank you very much guys for taking my suggestion. I really appreciate it.
