Additional information
On the same device, it works fine with Talk Android 17.0.2.
On another device, with Android 12 (/e/ OS 1.14), same call, it works fine with Talk Android 17.1.0.
Same issue. Also in 17.1.2 version
However I do have coturn and used to work very well.
Android 9
audio does not work most of the time. Sometime it works when I go for a video call.
Call from browsers work as expected... always.
It looks like 17.1.* versions cannot be used for audio calls.
Same issue here!

Nextcloud Talk app version
17.1.0 & 17.1.2 (checked on both)
More description
Video works fine. Audio, meaning input signal from microphone, does not reach other call participants as audio output.
BUT Microphone voice detection on the smartphone appears to be working because the focus function in call (highlighting of the panel of participant) changes to the participant without microphone audio signal although no output is coming.
Still in 17.1.3 milestone to be modified? 17.1.4? still in 18.0.0-rc2
Same probleme here, using Talk 18.0.1 with Android 13 on two different Fairphone 3+, there is no audio transmitted to the other participant in an audio call, regardless what version of Talk or what platform is used there. When I use Talk 18.0.1 on a tablet running LinageOS 18.1 or on another tablet running Android 11, the microphone does work normally. Talk on my iPad Gen 6 does work normally as well.
Still in 18.1.0
