Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

Organizationally, Nextcloud Talk chats becomes a bit rough to follow because there seems to be no option to sort them. They are auto-sorted based on action in group or private chats.

Describe the solution you'd like

The ability to place permanent Group Chats on top in Alphabetical order. It would also be nice to have an option to alphabetize individual chats underneath this.

Describe alternatives you've considered

None.

Additional context

I just find myself constantly scrolling down to reach a particular channel. Users also have this issue since the only sorting is actions in the chat pushing them towards the top. In our use case the group chatting is far more important but things can get cluttered because of the auto-sorting nextcloud does related to actions in individual chats / group chats. The best case would be group chats on top in alphabetical order and the ability to alphabetize private chats underneath with possibly a seperator. It doesn't have to be complex like adding spaces etc, just a simple sorting would be great.

Hello!

At the moment we're following the common messengers practice, with sorting chats/conversations by last activity in them (so whenether you'll receive a message, chat will be boosted on top of the list). Also manually selected favorite chats are always on top, so that would be the best option atm to concentrate specific chats in one place.

Shouldn't be too tricky to implement a simple sort by chat displayName, but we should consider different cases with long lists, whether it would enhance UX or make it worse.

For our organization (roughly 80 people in total) we use a few channels related to departments. I suppose placing channels on top as a favorite is a decent stop gap but organizing them with channels on top, a split, and private chats below in alphabetical order would work a lot better for us. I think it is a feature quite a few orgs wouldn't mind having.

Hi, for our organization it's very useful to mark rooms as favorites and then organize in function of this tag.
