Setting tags in Photos app

Open wein-geist opened this issue 4 years ago • 1 comments

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. I have a problem with the suggested workflow of using tags. Assuming I'm not missing anything, I work like this:

  • going through my pictures in the Photos app
  • finding pictures, that need a tag
  • open Nextcloud Files in a new tab.
  • navigate to the correct folder
  • set tags individually for each and every picture
  • go back to Photos to view them under Tagged Photos.

Describe the solution you'd like I would like to be able to create, change, delete tags within the Photos app. It would be ok to just copy the feature from the files-app viewer (view attached pics below). It would be great to implement something even better, allowing for bulk tagging, recursive folder tagging, right-click context menu tagging (I know, probably multiple issues related to this topic). If there is a clear nay from the devs for this feature, please think about a button getting the user to the corresponding path in the files app (could even be very discrete, maybe linking the mini view in the sidebar to the Files path). Otherwise, why even include a "Tagged Photos" entry so prominently in the side bar?

Describe alternatives you've considered Described in first paragraph. I don't see other alternatives. Maybe I'm blind (has happened before ; ), then please enlighten me and remove this request.

+1 for this feature. Currently it is impossible to refine tags assignments in bigger tag categories

Is there any work being done on the tagging system for photos? I see a lot of requests but no action.
