Allow non-files DAV path access to sidebar
Hello,
According to this issue the Nextcloud Memories project relies on the Nextcloud sidebar to display data of specific files (photo location, metadata, comments of users). When using shared album the sidebar can't load anything, because it seems it cannot access information from the shared url.
Why this is a big deal ?
I think a lot of people, including myself, is aware of the need for folks to take back ownership of their data why keeping a certain ease of use. That being said the Nextcloud Memories project is closest thing to offer a descent Google Photo remplacement, and benefits from a nice Nextcloud integration. Thank you @pulsejet ! ❤️
But still for this project is limited on its collaborative functionality due to the sidebar not being able to display user comments on shared album.
Is there any particular reason, security or permission related, for non-files DAV path not to be accessible by Nextcloud sidebar ? thanks

Would adding this feature also allow people to receive activity notifications/emails for albums that a user does not have folder access too?
That is the main thing blocking adoption of Nextcloud by my family/friends. They don't want to keep logging on and checking to see if an album has had new photos added by us, and we don't want to message them each time, nor share an actual folder of photos that we move outside of the photos/memories apps.
