BUG: no error shown when server cannot be reached, or login failed etc

Steps to reproduce

1. Put the nextcloud server in maintenance mode
2. Start firefox, unlock passman extension, notice that it says "0 credentials in the database"
3. Notice the absence of any error indicating that the synchronization failed.

Expected behaviour

Error when refreshing the database should be shown to the user. I had trouble logging in at first and noticed that the extension does not print anything indicating that the login to nextcloud failed for example.

Actual behaviour

No errors are found.
