Extension not detecting change of vault key on remote end

I have observed that if I change the vault key on a server, then the extension exhibits unpredictable behavior. It may issue variously complaints, but mostly submits undecipherable content to the vault.

However, some content is not corrupted, and I am wondering, as an aside, whether it may be clarified which content held in a vault, for each password entry, is encrypted versus kept in the plain text.
