Sorting options for Nextcloud Notes
Are there any plans for sorting options in the Nextcloud app. I'd love to see and A-Z sort option similar to the Android app.
I plan to switch to a new layout (see example in https://github.com/nextcloud/notes/issues/413#issuecomment-569600608) and I think we can add a sorting button, then.
I would like to see this as well. Have been using Simplenote and the only real thing it has that this does not is sorting. I want to sort by last modified datetime.

And by the way the Nextcloud Notes app does sort by last modified date time. This issue is about adding additional sorting options.
Sorry you thought I was not contributing, but it was meant to be, I will add more details. The nextcloud notes app in a browser sorts A-Z for me when in a category, not by last modified datetime as your reply indicated. Please additionally add sorts to categories of notes. It only sorts by last modified datetime when you are not in a category. So, I want to be sure you consider sorting while in a note category. I'd be happy to send a picture if needed.
Would like if there was a manual option, so notes could be self-organised by importance. I may look into this if no one else is currently.
@lreynolds188 You can already mark a note as a favorite / with a star. Those notes are shown in front of all other notes. Hence, we have a two-level importance feature, currently. Maybe we should discuss enhancements on this or a completely manual sort feature in a new issue. However, I'm not sure if a completely manual sort would scale. I have hundred of notes and I really don't want to sort them manually, because of the efforts for this. Instead, I group them using categories and star important ones.
my 2 cents: I would like to sort not only notes dashboard by modified date, but also my categories. Maybe one option in left lower corner that allows setting a sorting preference? Dont get me wrong, I think sorting A-z is still useful, but I hope implementing a switch for sort order is not a big deal.
Why would I want this? I have also a huge amount of notes for anything that I would like to get out of my head. But I orient much less on title of a note (I forgot about the content, how could I remember the title of it?) than when I recently modified something.
