Pressing "Cancel" does not undo the edit, and note is saved with modifications
Describe the bug When I modify a note (adding text or removing text) and hit "Cancel" in the menu, the modifications are still saved. The behaviour first appeared a month or two ago.
To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Open Notes app.
- Select a note.
- Edit the note by adding or removing text.
- Click the three dot menu in the upper, right corner.
- Hit Cancel.
- The spinning circle is shown briefly and the modifications to the note is saved.
Expected behavior When hitting Cancel, I would expect any modification to the notes to be discarded.

Server
- Nextcloud version: 23.0.12 [edit - upgraded server to 27.1.2, but issue remains]
- Nextcloud Notes version (server app): 4.3.1 [edit - upgraded server app to 4.8.1, but issue remains]
I can confirm that I have, regretfully, just experienced this exact problem. I had a note I'd spent several hours on and because of the "long-press > swipe" delete function of the Android keyboard, I unintentionally lost half of my note. There is no known way to revert to previous. As soon as the edit was made, it was synced to the server. Accessing it on desktop, in web UI, or on Android did not bring it back. Very disappointed.
I would expect the same behaviour as OP.
