Feature request: search function for RSS feeds

Hi,

i am still looking for a replacement for the nearly perfect gReader APP which i usw since many years in several devices.

The only APP i found which can synchronize several devices and has similar functions is your newsreader. The sync is usually much slower than gReader with feedly.

i am missing a search function for feeds, i have to input the full correct path ...

@hubertmeier Thank you for your feedback. What do you mean be "I am missing a search function for feeds" - The app already has a search feature that let's you search either in all feeds or in just the one that you have opened.

Hi, thank you for your reply. i use the greader and there is a search function. If i enter "heise" than i get a big list with all the feeds from "Heise Verlag" and can directly add the feeds ...

So basically the Auto discover Feed feature from the Web UI, where you enter for example f-droid.org and the feed url https://f-droid.org/feed.xml will be discovered and added automatically:

This is kind of different, because this would require some kind of database where a huge amount of RSS feeds are already present. You don't want to enter the website / URL but just completely search free and find matching websites which contain RSS feeds.

Are you aware of any service which provides such a collection of RSS feeds? Because if not, i think this is nothing which the Nextcloud News Android app is able to take care of - who should collect and maintain such an amount of feeds? There are a few feeds suggested by the Nextcloud News web app (i think a docent or so), but maintaining a database for hundreds or more feeds....? Phew... that will be hard (fancy, but hard).

yes, its something like the auto discover feature in the WebUI, ist would bei nice to have in the android App.
