'Read out' feature not working

Hello, using the latest version - 0.9.9.82 on Graphene OS.

After clicking 'read out' the player opens at the bottom but it continuously loads.

Does anyone else have this issue? Nothing plays. There are no settings to choose the voice or anything to look into this.

Documentation on the read out feature is non existant.
