Implement filtering of tracks to lower the amount of tracks displayed simultaniously

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. It seems to be impossible (not sure if due to my server or my browser) to display a huge amount of tracks without to browser getting blocked.

I have a big folder of tracks (around 800 items and ~500MB in gpx ) which I have collected from Strava. I would like to display an area to see where I have not been.

Clicking on show all tracks gets the browser blocked and you can not interact anymore with the tracks.

Describe the solution you'd like Some way of filtering would be great I don't know if is feasible, but something like "filter the track between this area" would be ideal. Then you can provide two points which make up a square and all the tracks that do not have a way point inside that area are filtered.

Describe alternatives you've considered Another alternative wold be filtering by date is not as helpful but maybe for other peoples use case may be enough.

Additional context I'm having this issues using a Lenovo T480, i7, 32GB ram using firefox 101.0.1 (64-bit). The nextcloud server runs on an old macbook pro 2012 i5 with 16gb ram, but only 4GB assigned to the debian VM where it runs in docker over a proxmox hypervisor.

Maybe is the server the bottleneck.

You could try #731, which allows you generate smaller maps with less data.

You could import the tracks as device. The new heatmap #970 feature is able to handle quite big tacks.
