Opening a mailbox for the first time freezes the browser

Steps to reproduce

  1. Set up an account
  2. Click on a mailbox you haven't opened before. "Ideally it has hundreds of messages"

Expected behavior

The mailbox syncs quickly and I see the 20 newest messages

Actual behavior

The browser freezes. If I'm lucky it returns eventually, but shows hundreds of messages.

Network log says all messages of the mailbox were loaded

I'm afraid this could also be caused by https://github.com/nextcloud/mail/pull/8231 @hamza221

It is not exclusive to the first visit of the mailbox

The browser sends an empty list of known messages. So the server considers everything new.
