Writing am mail to a contact group should only use the preferred Mail-Address

Writing a mail to a contact group (using the NC mail client): all Mailaddresses of the contacts belonging to a contact group are taken.

which mail app are you using?
With contact groups, we usually reference a feature in contacts.
Are you talking about the contact groups in contacts or a group in Nextcloud (that's usually something defined by an admin or via ldap).
For contact groups, I could not reproduce the described behavior.
Hi, I'm using Nextcloud Mail App 3.45 and i'm talking about Contact groups, not user groups. It concerns contacts with several mail addresses.
There are two different ways: right-click in a contact group -> send e-Mail to contact group -> an external mail client is opened, only the preferred mail address (TYPE=pref in case of several mail addresses) is used. A user belonging to that contact group who has 4 mail addresses receives one mail on the preferred account.
If I write a mail using the Nextcloud Mail App (e.g. when I'm using a terminal), I can choose the contact group for "To", "Cc" or "Bcc". In this case all mail addresses of a contact are taken. A user belonging to that contact group who has for example 4 Mail addresses, receives mails on all 4 accounts.

I can confirm the bug report.
All email addresses from a contact are added as recipient here:

It was briefly discussed when implementing the feature https://github.com/nextcloud/mail/pull/2414 and I see how using all email addresses can be useful, but would also prefer to only use the first one.
In the long-run, we hopefully implement https://github.com/nextcloud/mail/issues/2723 to have more control about the recipients of a contact-group.
