Mass handling of items need numerous upgrades.
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
It's very laborious to do many things to multiple emails at a time. Single items are decent but if you want to do more than one at a time, it gets very work intensive very quickly.
Describe the solution you'd like
The standard behavior on, well, everything in almost any app is that you can click one email, then hold shift and click 5 emails down and thus mark the range.
Another standard behavior is that you can ctrl-click any email and select/deselect. So if you have five e-mails you ctrl-click 1 and 5 and now you can do anything to just 1 and 5.
Currently, you can't long-press to activate multi-selection, you can't easily select many without clicking the checkbox on every single email, and for handling of large mail amounts this is very sub-optimal.
shift-down arrow is also a fairly universally used function; hold shift, and down arrow moves down the list, selecting emails.
A shortcut like ctrl-a also needs to be captured and be used to select every single mail in view, or the entire folder.
In this vein, there also needs to be a way to empty an entire folder. If I have something in a sub-folder, it should be possible to somehow select that sub-folder and choose "delete all contents" (with at least one warning popping up before it happens) and not just delete the whole subfolder.
