Option to set how often to check for new mail
Feature Request
Would like the option to set the rate at which the mail app checks for new mail without having to manually refresh within the mail app.
Could you please describe the problem a bit better? When do you have to refresh manually? For what mailbox?
I have an email account set up via IMAP in the Nextcloud mail app. For a test, I sent myself a mail from another account. On one Chrome tab I left up the Nextcloud mail app on a second tab I opened my Roundcube mail application set up with the same IMAP account. Within a minute, Roundcube mail showed the new mail that was sent as a test. I refreshed the chrome tab with the Nextcloud mail app, still no new mail. I did this again 5 and 10 minutes after, and still it did not show the new mail. Then I hit the "R" key to manually refresh the Nextcloud mail app and the new mail immediately appears.
I also think that "automatic" and more or less continuous refresh is very useful in a production environment. I would also extend that to the dashboard, which integration with mail and other core apps I find awesome. Being in the dashboard, mail should update relatively fast and without the requirement to go to the mail app to refresh.

I'll follow this interesting issue. Thanks!

Hello. I would also like the option to set the IMAP server polling rate. Currently the Mail app hits my email server about every minute. With multiple users this is killing my small server. It seems that often it gets multiple hits at the same time. I'd like to option to set this to 5 minute or so intervals. Thank you.
