All previous draft emails wiped

Open superbadwake opened this issue 1 month ago • 2 comments

Steps to reproduce

  1. Create drafts on the mail server directly
  2. Edit as a new message in the Mail app
  3. It saved it as a draft in the Draft folder but deletes all of the other existing draft emails in Draft folder.

Expected behavior

When the above is actioned it shouldn't wipe all other Draft messages in the Draft folder as it did for me.

Actual behavior

I have just lost all of the draft emails that I had in the Draft folder. I use Outlook and majority of these drafts were created and automatically saved in Outlook. I have just been testing the IMAP account in Mail app in Nextcloud and when I select an email in the Inbox and choose "Edit as a new message" it instantly saves it as a draft but also deletes all other existing drafts from the Draft folder.

Thanks for the report

I'm not able to reproduce. I have some old drafts in my Drafts mailbox. I went to the inbox and clicked Edit as new on a random email. I waited until the draft is saved. Then I go back to Drafts. I see the new draft on top and the older drafts underneath.

Could you create some fake drafts and try again to see if it's force reproducible?

Hi there! It looks like this issue hasn’t seen much activity for a while and might need a bit more information to move forward. If we don’t hear back soon, we may close it to keep things organized. Thanks again for your contributions – we really appreciate it!
